We are a church based group for senior members of the community aiming to help, support and encourage one another.

We meet weekly on a Monday at our church centre, 22, Victoria Park Road, Winton (2.30pm to 4.00pm).

Our varied programme includes: 'Open Door' ... talks, activities and afternoon teas; small group bible studies; afternoon services (3.30 to 5.00pm) and social outings.

It's fun, friendly and open to all. For a detailed programme visit the welcome desk on Sundays or the new Autumn programme will be here shortly!

May Bank holiday Social ... spot the crumbling old ruins!

Bank Holiday Monday (31st May) saw 15 folk from our new seniors Life Community set out in the BCC minibus to Cranbourne Chase & Wimborne.

We had a great time, calling en route to Cranbourne Garden Centre, at Knowlton Church and earthworks where the photo (see below) was taken. We decided not to caption it 'New church centre nears completion' and I settled on 'crumbling old ruins' .. no pun intended of course!

At the garden centre we enjoyed pottering about in the walled garden, browsing in the shop and an excellent lunch, before setting off for Wimborne for more poddling round the lovely old town centre and, for some, a much needed afternoon tea.

We now plan at least one social a term and are hoping to hold a Harvest Supper in September .. details to follow. Feel free to join us on Monday afternoons at the church centre (Victoria Park Road) and see the exact details of the rest of this term's exciting new programme above. There's something for everyone .. and it's nothing to do with Crumbling old ruins!
